Alumni-Meeting in October 2010 of European Summer School for Social Work Berlin

25.August 2010

by EISA e.V.

We are planning an Alumni-Meeting in October 2010,

all former participants of the European Summer Schools for Social Work in Berlin from 1996-2010 are friendly invited to take part in this years Alumni-Meeting. The topic of the meeting will focus on the FIGHT against Human Trafficking, which will provide an opportunity for professional social workers to exchange ideas and experiences as well as create a network all over Europe and beyond.

Here is some information concerning the alumni week:

Time
From October 24th, 2010 (Sunday arrival) until October 30st, 2010 (Saturday departure).

Topic
The 15th Summer School 2010 in July had the topic >FIGHT against Human Trafficking<. We would like to continue with this topic. The FIGHT against Human Trafficking is a very important issue for international human rights, which is also an inherent issue for social work and the political agenda in Europe.
We are also organising a social work art project called 1001001, e.g. artists in different countries are painting their interpretation of >FIGHT against human trafficking<. We started in December 2009 with the first small exhibition in Stockholm. Maybe you can help us. More about it in Berlin.

Fees
There is a participation fee of 140 ? per person to cover the minimum expenditure.

Accommodation and ticket
As organized in all our Summer Schools you will get
- a bed in an apartment of a student in our university. (You know this is part of our intercultural philosophy.)
and
- a one-week-ticket of the public transport system in Berlin.

If you have any questions or additional proposals which we should discuss on this meeting do not hesitate to contact us.
